By day, Jasmine Mangalaseril is principal of Peacock Blue Communications and helps clients say what they mean and mean what they say. By night, she’s a culinary enthusiast and food writer who snoops into the nooks and crannies of spice cupboards and explores edible traditions. Described as quick-witted and insightful, her writing has earned Canadian and international media attention. In 2016, she launched Rye & Ginger, a site that explores Waterloo Region’s culinary history and foodways. She’s an equal opportunity butter tartist, but in her heart-of-hearts is pro-raisin and anti-corn syrup.
Jasmine will be defending “Crow Lake” by Mary Lawson.
