Alison has extensive experience leading teams to find creative solutions to complex problems. She has a diverse background, starting with experiences on Parliament Hill in Ottawa and working with youth on Capitol Hill and at the Canadian Embassy in Washington, DC.
Building on an interest in International Affairs and government, Alison was one of the first employees at the Centre for International Governance Innovation (CIGI). From CIGI, Alison, along with two other partners, founded Overlap Associates –an innovative design thinking firm in Kitchener. At Overlap, Alison gained experience and an expanded interest working on challenging problems in Ontario’s health care system.
Alison continued this work at the Waterloo Wellington Local Health Integration Network (WWLHIN), and most recently as the Director of Strategy and Innovation at the Canadian Mental health Association Waterloo Wellington, where she works on the design of an improved mental health and addictions system.
